This Privacy Policy explains how the BeachReady mobile app ("BeachReady", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.

What we collect

  • Food, weight and activity entries you create in the app. These are stored on your device and on our servers so the app can sync across your devices.
  • Photos you submit for recognition. When you photograph a meal or a nutrition label, the image is sent to our processing service and to third-party AI providers only to produce the estimate. Photos are not stored after processing and are not used to train models.
  • Basic technical data such as app version, device type and crash diagnostics, used to keep the app working.

BeachReady does not currently require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the app.

How we use it

  • To provide the core features of the app (logging, recognition, sync).
  • To diagnose crashes and improve reliability and performance.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Third parties

We share data with service providers strictly to operate the app — cloud hosting for storage and sync, and AI providers for photo and text recognition. These providers process the data only on our instructions.

Retention

Your diary entries are kept until you delete them in the app. Deleted entries are removed from active storage and purged from backups within 90 days. Recognition photos are discarded immediately after processing.

Your choices

  • You can edit or delete any entry in the app at any time.
  • You can request deletion of all data associated with your device by contacting us at the address below.
  • You can revoke camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.

Children

BeachReady is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
